I just came back from the Orvis store in Framingham, and they're having a store closing sale. I don't know how long it will be going on for, but there are some VERY good deals to be had. I picked up a lot of Mirage FLourocarbon leader material in 39,44, and 52 pound test for 70% off! The stuff is usually 16 dollars for a 25 yd. coil, and it's going for less 5 bucks there.

Just thought I'd let people know about this.

So...you got all the good fly tying stuff. I had no idea about the sale. I was just trying to pick up some bucktail, which of course was LONG gone. I'm not complaining though.

well don't feel too bad cuz I spent about an hour combing thru what was left in the boxes and I got a purple, a gray, and a brown bucktail and that was it for them....long gone. dunno when the sale started.

One GOOD deal was the lip locks on top of the shelf....$179.00 less 70%..
I shoulda bought them all.

specialist, i know where that store is located. it's near central street in framingham. stay on route 9 and u might see it. it's close to the wild harvest market. and you shouldn't miss it. if you are riding from boston or any town near welsely, take rt 9 and go all the way straight to framingham. u will pass natick mall and such.
if u are riding from another town near worchester or southboro, take rt 9, but u will be on the different side of the highway. go straight and until u see a ski store, stay on the left lane. go onto the stop light and turn left and enter the street and turn right to the wild harvest market and park there. and orvis is right there. page me, josephtien@wyndtell.com for more info if u are unsure or unclear about the direction.

if it's all gone out, maybe one of you should try REI's store out.

What Salty said.

Wasn't much left when I was there yesterday. With the store at 70% off, all I left with was the Mirage and some hooks.

i know what he said. i was just suggesting that some of you should try rei's outdoor store. they have some waders, poontoon, boots, hunting gears, fly equipments, bikes, rafts, and much more.
