"It appears that a museum owned by the people of the United States, celebrating the history of the United States, cannot find companies in this country employing American workers that are able to manufacture statues of our founding fathers, or our current president," Sanders said in a letter to the museum.

There's a reason for that, its called the unions. The unions have driven the cost of manufacturing anything in this country so high it just isn't cost effective to manufacture small items and trinkets here.

Sander's is an idiot.Don't blame the Smithsonian. Why the hell should the Smithsonian pay $20 for something they can pay 02cents for when they don't even have the money to fix the most basic issues plaguing most of the buildings like roof leaks and other structural issues.

Sanders' should take hard look at himself, his congressional partners and all their union cronies before he starts pointing fingers at the musuem.

Just goes to show you how out of touch with just what the heck is going on in this country our politicians are:smash:

they have no clue

they passed NAFTA
they cowtow to unions
they allow trade with china way out of proportion
they allowed the mortgage crisis
they bailout big business and wall street
they allow no accountability

then they are surprised a gift shop looks like the Christmas Tree shops:smash::smash:
