View Full Version : Annual Dreams, Goals and Aspirations Thread!
BigFish 02-27-2011, 07:24 PM OK so lets hear them! What are your dreams, goals and aspirations for the 2011 season?? Any plans for fishing extravagant new areas? What new adventures are you looking to take with the new season on the horizon?? Planning on fishing one of those hallowed areas we all dream of for the first time?? :uhuh:
BigFish 02-27-2011, 07:31 PM Starting a new job in a couple weeks I will be choosing my fishing opportunities carefully! I will be fishing the canal under cover of darkness more than in years past and weekends for the most part will be reserved for kayak fishing!! (Hoo-Rah "Yak Rats") I dream of finally making it to Montauk this season.....steeped in history and tradition I have wanted to fish there for some time now, hopefully this is the season! My goals are to land the elusive 40 plus pounder both from the surf and from the kayak! I also hope to see Fishchick catch her first of many keepers from her kayak! Mostly just looking to enjoy great fishing memories with so many friends!:gh:
O.D. Mike 02-27-2011, 07:40 PM Tuna on spin, finding a job that offers 3-12hr days and catch a 30lb striper or better!
Slingah 02-27-2011, 08:23 PM I plan on utilizing the kayak this year. I am really looking forward to it.
Rob Rockcrawler 02-27-2011, 08:59 PM Lookin for my 50 this year. Id like to make it to Cutty this season. More block as always... There are 2 different spots on soco that i need to try this year. And a special spot in Ct that has been calling me.
JamesJet 02-27-2011, 09:10 PM I purchased a boat this year so hopefully get out in that a few times. Also hit the canal a bunch and fish with some folks I have met on the board. Specifically I would like to be more scientific/calculated in my fishing and really fish a few areas in the canal on all different tides with different approaches and try to figure out some patterns. Finally my son will be three so hopefully take him for some bluegills a couple times.
JackK 02-27-2011, 09:24 PM I want to work on my casting- master the pendulum cast for the days when distance is required, and improve my accuracy on touch casts. Work on the fundamentals.
I also want to get back into the sweetwater more, and re-learn how to fly fish.
Fishoholic 02-27-2011, 09:55 PM double digit whitechin and a 40# bass from shore :)
