FishermanTim 03-16-2011, 10:25 AM Save the salt for the tequila shots, the bay leaves for the gumbo and the eels for the canal! Otherwise....:yak5:
I love eel. But then again, I love pretty much anything from the sea...
Just curious why you guys all think it is gross. What makes it any different from any other delicious sea creature we eat? Fish, Squid, Uni, Skate, Shrimp, Lobster, etc.... I'd take eel over bluefish any day of the week!!

JoeBass 03-18-2011, 10:31 AM I also love eel. It's one of my favorites at sushi joints (Where it is broiled, not raw).Muranos glass works, by the way, were put on this island because of the fire hazard they posed for Venice.

Yep. This is true about the fire hazard. Also, they wanted to make it hard for the maestros to escape to Germany where they could make a lot more money. The fable is that the dodge of Venice would send assassins after glass blowers and kill them with glass daggers if they left.
