8-10years ago they were a great brewery but they have been slipping in the last 2-3 years....just my opinion

They were early to the game and were able to differentiate themselves, but I agree have struggled in the current environment.

Their beers are good but not special...hard when there's so much competition.

The #9 is one of my all time favorites to go with a meal. I've been drinking it from the very beginning.

I also liked the winter brew they had this year, I think it was called Howl.

I agree about them not being special anymore. They still have some great beers, but a lot of the new stuff is just ok. When MH has tried some off the wall beers, I haven't liked them too much. Last year, they had a summer brew called Wacko that was terrible IMO. It was beet flavored :yak5:.

I agree magic hat is more a symbol now than a good beer. some of their stuff like wacko totally sucks

I'm a fan of their Number 9 too.....

Having said that typically fruit flavored anything AINT my thing, but #9 is always a good choice on tap. freakin delicious

If you're going to drink Vermont beer, take it from this Vermonter and drink Long Trail...always great. Or Switchback...currently only available on tap.
