Celtics are s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g big time of late! I think those trades they made, though they got some talented guys, have screwed up the chemistry of the team and I do not think it is going to improve from this point going into the playoffs! I also do not like how Doc is handling the substitutions this season??? Its like he takes the entire "Four" of the floor at times and puts the bench in to cover and there is no continuity on the floor at times and no leader...then by the time they get back in the game its too late!! Its been tough to watch them the last 10 games!!! I do not see them going deep into the playoffs.....they just do not have "IT"! Seems Rondo has been sleepwalking the last 10 games also!! WTF??!?!:smash:

I think they sit the starters too long at times??

I'm pretty sure they sat the starters last year a lot too...and it worked out pretty well last year for us....we came within a few minutes of a championship.

its good that they are resting the starters for the big playoff push

I have not been watching but the team is old. They need that rest and the bench needs the experience. It will be interesting to see how the rotation and chemistry works come playoff time.

No doubt they get into the playoffs so now next priority is to rest the best guys as much as possible between now and the playoffs. The games now do not matter in terms f the search for the Champuionship and the celtics are definitely after the whole thing again this year. I say doc and Ainge know exactly what they are doing for a playoff startegy and losing a few now makes no difference at all.

Call me what you want......bandwagon jumper or whatever......this team is s-u-c-k-i-n-g wind! Down by 6 with 4 minutes left, Garnett goes to the line for 2 and misses them both???? Just showing zero effort! You are kidding yourselves if you think this is par for the course and part of the Celtics master plan! Oh....and there was a nice piece of passing Ray.....clutch!!! First round knock out is my prediction.....not one of the top 5 teams in the league at this point!!:smash:

Not looking good but weren't we in similar straights 3 years ago??

We were in Similar Straights last year....

Yes they are struggling right now, past couple of games looked like they are running out of steam down the stretch.

Lots of new bodies on the floor with the veterens. They should be learning something !!!!!

Hopefully they will get it together by the playoffs.:huh:

I am hopeful, they are deceiving......:devil2::devil2:

I disagree
they need a better seed for the playoffs or they won't get out of the second round
they clinched a spot long ago, clinched the division a while ago
they are having troubles right now and don't look good
doc is doing what he can
time for the players to step up and play like a team:smash:

Older men with old legs. It's that simple. More than any other sport basketball's a young man's game. I'm sure the mind is still willing but they make fatigue mistakes now. Timing suffers, backing off on defense, more injuries, all signs of an aging body.

Celts 107 Spurs 97.

They looked very good last night.

Like I said deceiving.

That makes them 6-7 in the last 13 games...not exactly playoff caliber!

Last season they were 3-7 in their final 10 regular season games.Hopefully they can flip the switch again.

I will not make any assessment until the season is over as the regular season does not seem that important to them. Hopefully they have another gear to switch into for the playoffs.

Why do you think the seed spot in the playoffs is so important Slip? eventually , you need to beat the best teams to win it all. Sometimes you get lucky and someone does the dirty work for you (a lesser teams beats a powerhouse) however , that's often couples with the lesser team being in a hot streak so they are dangerous too.

Anyway , I think the job they did in SA should let everyone know that they will win the games they feel are important (made a statement to the winningest team in the league , important at playoff time) and the rest of the games down the stretch are times to rest the old and school the new.

Anyway , who do you think we will need to face in the playoffs if we don't get a better seed that we wouldn't eventually face in the later rounds anyway?

I think you answered part of it yourself

I'd like them to be the 1 seed and have homecourt advantage
they can win without that i understand

health is important, at their age, i'm not sure it will last until game 7 of the finals, that's all.

If they have to play Chicago first round and go 5 games, they could lose right there, who knows

SA is a good team in the season but they may not do so well in a series with a team in the playoffs
I hope they do though, and beat LA so we don't have to, I'm not happy if we lose to them again

The oneils need to play ball

What I would like to see most of al is for Miami and Orlando to somehow meet and beat each others brains out so that the eventual winner would then come limping into a series with us! :)
