schoolie monster 01-05-2001, 01:52 PM Hey dude,
I hope all is well with the kid and the house. Been super-busy with the addition and now the basement (we're rippin up and replacing the floor in the finished half)... I swear, one more project and I'll be divorced... or in jail.
Anyway, just wanted to say, "hey" and see how things are going with you.
So much for a mild winter, eh? Later.
JohnR 01-05-2001, 03:16 PM You just CAN'T wiper her out. In addition to the fact that I'll be short one fishing partner, my wife will blame me for the fact that you terminated your wife. And I can guarantee you that if you come down to Rhody for some fishing and your wife can't because, well, she's gardening in the skies, my wife will again be miserable. And if she's miserable, I'm miserable :P
Seriously, How is the house family and the house on the lagoon??
... BTW - maybe next weekend you, your lovely wife, and your sweet child can come down so you and I can go to the Providence BOAT Show :o
schoolie monster 01-08-2001, 12:11 PM Things are pretty good. Christmas was fun with Brittany and I got some cool stuff. A few accessories for the boat... a soft tackle box, a nice 7' (non-telescoping) rod with shimano reel, charts of Boston Harbor, some good books and other odds and ends. It was a good time.
I bought Karen a DVD player and a dozen or so movies... good ones... Jaws, Hunt for Red October, U-571, Jurassic Park, and a few newer ones. Its pretty cool. I'm gonna build a system over the year to get some high quality audio. Its pretty cool.
Well, I doubt Karen needs to worry, because once the basement is done, they'll be no more rooms to rennovate. You'll be impressed next time you're over.
We'll definitely try to get down soon, though the rest of January is pretty hectic. But that's it, when I'm done with this project, I'm done. The next projects will involve building rods and wiring my boat.
Alright dude, gotta get some work done. I'll talk to ya soon.
JohnR 01-08-2001, 04:31 PM Does that mean that you won't find time to come down with the wife and child?? I think you should, I know Gwen would appreciate it...
Later,
John
schoolie monster 01-09-2001, 01:30 PM Yeah, I doubt it, Karen has some of those DMR interviews setup for this week and weekend. She hasn't done any for a couple of weeks due to the holidays and wants to crank on them for the rest of the month because the study is over the first week of February or so.
And I need to finish the floor, clean up, and put down the linoleum tiles ASAP so I can relax a bit and start getting my fishing stuff organized and maybe make a couple of rods.
We definitely want to come down and see the baby though. They grow up super fast dude.
Why am I always saying after this project and next month... gotta slow things down a bit... ya know, I heard fishing was a good way to relax, I might have to give that a try this spring.
