ragfly 01-06-2001, 10:41 AM I just received this website from a friend the other day. Seeing this is my first post I just wanted to say Hi. I am part of team ledgelizards up here in Maine. We are dedicated striper fisherman who love the sport! I am looking forward to participating on this chat page!
Slipknot 01-06-2001, 10:54 AM Welcome Ragfly, any friend of Bill's is a friend of ours. Enjoy the site.
Saltheart 01-06-2001, 02:24 PM Hi Ragfly. Welcome to the board. Say hi to Bill B for me.
JohnR 01-07-2001, 10:52 AM Welcome to a cast of truly disreputable striper addicts, Ragfly!! Any friend of Ledge Vader... :P Looking forward to seeing you on the boards...
I don't get too much opportunity to fish up theya, but I do get to Camp Ellis to fish the Saco, Nun's beach, Goosefair Brook and OOB, none of which is ledgelike, unfortunately...
Are you ledgelizards like a formalized group or just another rag-tag band of obsessed saltwater characters??
Again - WELCOME !!
John

Howdy all. Good to see yah made it Ragfly. Hey John, it's a simple process to join our club. No secret handshakes either(war yells are encouraged). It does require some stamina, lots of balance, and patience. The former is no problem for you Watch Hill guys. The latter needed to put of with the reputed King of the LedgeLizards.....
JohnR 01-09-2001, 08:51 AM Don't need no secret handshakes,
Don't need no secret decoder ring,
Need to be part billy goat,
Part Gilla Monster,
and to be born with studded soles on your feet...
Take me to your leader...
I feel a VERY BAD song coming on, hehehe
So, who is the reputed King of the LedgeLizards and does this guy come down to meet the spray or does she come up from underneath?? (is it a person or a fish? i haven't had my morning coffee so I'm sorta ramblin')
Fisherwoman 01-09-2001, 11:18 AM Welcome aboard Ragfly, May the fish gods be spiritually with you this year!!!!!!
John you are shot!!!!!!! LMAO
Chunker of Death 01-09-2001, 08:57 PM John, I'm glad you added that explaination in ( ). For a minute there I thought we were gonna have to substitute a bar of soap instead of the coffee. LOL
ragfly 01-09-2001, 09:26 PM It does help to have a good war cry especially when a wave breaks over you, AHeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Which does happen when you are pushing the ledgelizard envelope. The chunker of death is the best I have seen at doing the ledgelizard dance. For those of you interested, the ledgelizard dance is when you are pushing the envelope and the one eye you keep on the surf catches that big roller coming in on you (they usually come in two's) and you jump back a few rocks to avoid the impact. It's really fun when you have a fish on! I guess you just have to love it! Hey Chunker I have only 68 more Cabela's points to go before I get my death staff for free. AHeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
JohnR 01-10-2001, 10:58 AM Aww shucks Ledge Lizard, I didn't mean to sound like my mind was in the gutter, I promise I'll try to be cleaner next time Wally, er uhh, C.O.D :P Wouldn't want my mouth washed out with soap, ya know??
I must admit Ragfly and LL Death Staff, sometimes I do fall afoul bad language when the seas are cold as they break upon your skull. So someone like me from the sub-tropical waters of Mass and Rhody would face great challenge in the frigid 40 degree summer waters of Maine but I'd certainly like to give it a shot and fish with you folks this summer. I'll even promise to say "Aww Shucks" instead of "Aww scheize"... :P
