View Full Version : 1st Schoolie
Christian 04-13-2003, 03:37 PM got my first schoolie of the season today. caught on a yellow shad body on a 1/2 oz jighead in wicked murky water at a spot. was 1 of 2 fish caught. you can thank my dad for his wonderful photography, he didnt know how to use the camera.
Christian 04-13-2003, 03:37 PM the release, o yeah and it won me $5 for a bet with my dad for 1st fish. 3 yrs in a row.
capesams 04-13-2003, 04:27 PM NICE work......my rods an reels still have dust on um :smash:
Notaro 04-13-2003, 04:29 PM hahaha. u won a bet from ur pop. that's a nice fish, man. how do u manage to cast a jig in a surrounding like bush and twigs around u?
anyway, i want to compliment on ur 1st schoolie catch.
bluefish 04-13-2003, 05:07 PM looks like your dad did a good job with the photo. congrats on the rat.
Christian 04-13-2003, 05:30 PM i was using my freshwater gear around those bushes so wasnt really a problem casting. rods pretty short and there was enough room behind me.
that was definitly a holdover, last year at this time i was catching plenty covered with sea lice, this one had nothing. that place is fresh water too.
