Look around on the ground there will be a small triangle shaped metal survey setting that will point north. Zeal 04-13-2011, 02:00 PM I saw that once, but no evidence of associated material, guess people got pissed and chased surveyors off each time! Fishpart 04-13-2011, 05:30 PM If you can find a USGS Topographical map there wil be a little black X with BM next to it in the location where the marker is. With a map and that marker to get yo close it should be cinch to find. It's a round badge stuck to a rock. It says fines or prison for disturbing it. There was a metal box right next to it with some geocaching stuff in it. MarshCappa 04-14-2011, 10:16 AM I'll look for a marker on the ground. That part of my yard is really grown in during the summer. I was cleaning litter when I came accross that sign. I live behind what used to be a school and is now an old age home and accross the street from that marker is a wetland conservation area. WESTPORTMAFIA 04-14-2011, 12:42 PM I saw that one last fall. There was a metal box right next to it with some geocaching stuff in it. Pretty sure its a different one. It's one of the very few spots that nobody fishes that I know of. nightfighter 04-14-2011, 01:25 PM Survey marker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survey_marker) Bottom of page has websites that might allow you to use Google Earth to help locate yours... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
