Nebe 04-18-2011, 05:01 PM who ever owns a droid will say droid is better and who ever has an iphone will say the iphone is better.. no question though.. the camera on the iphone is way better.. other than that it is personal preference. Redsoxticket 04-18-2011, 05:03 PM I'd hold off for the next revision of iphone or droid x. tattoobob 04-18-2011, 05:56 PM I'd hold off for the next revision of iphone or droid x. Any idea when that's going to happen? Apple finally came out with a white iPhone 4 last week Redsoxticket 04-18-2011, 06:30 PM Check out forums related to iphone or google key words for a better accuracy of the next iphone. I read somewhere it being announced at the upcoming conference of apple products this summer Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device blondterror 04-18-2011, 06:44 PM I am waiting for the next iPhone as well.... Hopefully this summer JohnR 04-18-2011, 07:12 PM I have an older iPhone 3G and a DroidX. The Droid was the first thing to even remotely challenge the iPhone and compared to the 3G, fairly spanks it IMO. If you need to get something today, I'd go Droid. If you can wait until summer you'll be able to chose from the latest of both offerings i5 or DX2. Trying to make myself wait to see if I get a i4 or wait a couple more months. The next reason to wait is the longer you hold out the better 4G/LTE offerings you can choose from. Nebe 04-18-2011, 07:17 PM I have an older iPhone 3G and a DroidX. Is the 4g gonna be backwards compatible? JohnR 04-18-2011, 09:27 PM Is the 4g gonna be backwards compatible? 4G/LTE will be able to run on older networks but phones not capable of 4G/LTE won't take advantage of the faster nets... Eben - the Driod doesn't compare to the 3G ;) EricW 04-19-2011, 10:10 PM I've got an EVO on sprint and absolutely love it. I've got a family plan and we have 2 droids and share 1500 minutes and unlimited data. Got an awesome discount for switching to them. theirs is truly unlimited. I've got great coverage everywhere I go. I've lined up an iphone, my droid and another carriers droid in my inside office in downtown Boston and I've got the best coverage. When I am in 4g I get 10 Mbps downloads. I can also make calls in downtown Boston outside (where I have full bars and 4G) where my friends iphone has 0 bars...... Nebe 04-19-2011, 10:17 PM When I am in 4g I get 10 Mbps downloads. WOW. Padawan 04-20-2011, 08:15 PM Hands done IPHONE... Droid is nice but not that nice Raven 04-20-2011, 09:15 PM it said if you are using an IPHONE it is tracking every where you go Nebe 04-21-2011, 09:54 AM it said if you are using an IPHONE it is tracking every where you go you can turn that feature off... JohnnySaxatilis 04-21-2011, 02:58 PM you need an app for that. my friend just lost his new iphone4 during our drunken debauchery on marathon monday. It took a metrocab far far away from where we were on beacon, and he's pretty much for lack of better words, F'D. But there is an application you can get that tracks the location of the device and sends messages to the phone or something. BMEUPSCOTTY 04-25-2011, 05:06 PM fwiw I really like my samsung focus... windows phone 7... very simple and takes decent pics too... Raven 04-26-2011, 09:48 PM you can turn that feature off... A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Apple for the location-based tracking it does on iPhones and other devices that use the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 4. The lawsuit, filed by two men in Florida, says that "users of Apple products have ... no way to prevent Apple from collecting this information because even if users disable the iPhone and iPad GPS components, Apple's tracking system remains fully functional." ahhh ..... nope ! Rockport24 04-27-2011, 03:28 PM Yah, but can't google do the same thing with the android platform? Sure, you can turn off the exact pinpoint GPS setting, but there is no way easy way to turn off the locational setting as far as I know.... Just THINK of all the data that google has about all of us to begin with, just with gmail and all the other crap alone! TheSpecialist 06-12-2011, 06:29 AM Well could wait no longer my old phone kept shutting down and rebooting by itself. U used my new every 2 credit and got an Iphone 4.
