make sure you send that serial number to VS also just in Case it gets sent in for service at some later date...then it can be reverse investigated

Sorry to hear about the theft.

To keep track of reels being posted for sale on craigslist, google:

"van staal" site:craigslist.org

Good luck.

What a scum bag and a true success story on gettin it back.
When I saw this post, I at first thought it was a joke given the serial number. I was waiting to get my reel back from River's End. Thought it was gonna be here yesterday, but finally got here today...Thought it had gotten intercepted.....Serial number 14780........I guarantee mine isn't as pretty as your buddy's.......

I hope it all works out to his getting the reel back undamaged and without significant money lost.

Good. Glad it is on track. If more people were as nice as Mike, world would be a better place.

Best to just let it go if the reel is recovered. Same scum who would steal a reel would be the first to go to the law and probably sue if you popped them one, even though I agree they deserve it.

I hope its not someone from this site. If it is they should be banned! This is an awesome community and RifRaf shouldn't be allowed.

There's a website where if you post a story about getting ripped off by someone with backup as to it really happening, they will make the persons life absolutely miserable.

It's a group of internet vigilantes that can make someone's life a living hell.
