Hi Guys I have a question to those who know rod repair,I have a Buddy of mine who owns a boat rod for shark fishing and over the winter one of the guides has broken.
Can you offer up place's that can fix it,and how tough would this be?

Many thanks.

Piece of cake to replace the guide. If you get up to Upton, J and L custom rods does good work.
Address: 1 Centerbrook Way, Upton, MA 01568
Telephone: (508) 529-3400

I am sure others can point to some more local places. It is no big deal to do, though.

Plenty of guys on this board who wrap rods for a hobby. I'm sure some plug ho would do it in exchange for a piece of wood.

Bob, if Mike (BB) isn't swamped at the CC he might be able to help you...

Where's the guy located? Might help in pointing him to a local source or a guy on here that could fix it.

Have him call Bill's bait and tackle in Norton. He had a guy fixing rods for him when he was in Seekonk, not sure now, probably be like $15-$20 for a guide or call Belsans in Scituate.CMs in NB if he ever goes that way. Those are the closest I can think of.
