41 degrees?? any north shorians been out? at this rate might not be fishing the open water until late may. frost in billerica for the past 2-3 days.

went to water the lawn this morning and the hose/sprinkler was frozen.

they'll be here on time though. first keeper size fish mid may, you know where, if weather and tides line up. if not, there's always july :hihi:

Nicer weather...yes.

Water warming up quick....no. Stays cold up here a long time. Usually mid May before we see the magical 51 degree water temp.

You can see that the water temps didn't make their move until May 23 or 24th.... a full month after this discussion began. But they are definitely here....

the harbor is loaded with some nice size striper's and mackerel and of course you have the little ones also.

I do not know where they get there scientific data but there are no shortage of striper's.

Oh! I'm sorry, they get it from that disgruntled stripers foever group.. :smash: :wall:

You really think because ONE harbor is loaded with fish the stocks are ok?

well, last year at this time there were not too many around in that location, so it definitely supports the hypothesis that the patterns are just different these days....

I agree the stocks aren't what they used to be, but prob not as bad as most would like to think.
