Pete F. 04-24-2011, 09:28 PM That would be an Ayrshire, not a seal. Nebe 04-24-2011, 10:41 PM Only one? Plum Crazy 04-25-2011, 03:49 PM I saw a Harp seal on Plymouth beach 2 weeks ago alive but he was way way up above high water mark. Made it into the water when we walked by. I will see if I can post a pic. He didn't look well. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/th_IMG_1920.jpg (http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/?action=view¤t=IMG_1920.jpg) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/th_IMG_1917.jpg (http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/?action=view¤t=IMG_1917.jpg) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/th_IMG_1918.jpg (http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/?action=view¤t=IMG_1918.jpg) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/th_IMG_1919.jpg (http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/?action=view¤t=IMG_1919.jpg) Plum Crazy 04-25-2011, 03:55 PM A better pic http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/th_206796_1952886032003_1538229441_2206059_2117188 _n.jpg (http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b400/Plumcrazy1/?action=view¤t=206796_1952886032003_1538229441_2206059_21 17188_n.jpg) MakoMike 04-26-2011, 11:34 AM How can you tall a Harp seal, from a harbor seal or a gray seal? Plum Crazy 04-26-2011, 11:50 AM They are mostly white-looks like a cow.(has markings like a cow) Raven 04-26-2011, 12:24 PM that's the best kind of seal.......:uhuh:.......DEAD just like the live Mouse i caught last Night who's now on the feed tray for carnivores he's now the best kind of Mouse fishgolf 04-26-2011, 09:28 PM Plum... that seal looks identical to the one we saw... Plum Crazy 04-27-2011, 03:18 AM Probably was fishgolf-he didn't look too good when I saw him. I think he only went into the water to get away from us cuz he came right back out after we were a few hundred yards away. I thought the Harp seals stayed further North, but what do I know? GattaFish 04-27-2011, 09:31 AM I heard seal was good fried....:huh: fishgolf 04-27-2011, 09:00 PM googled the harp seal. Arctic ice break up puts them on the move. Apparently some move all the way to North Carolina in recent years, but generally the Arctic is their realm. df vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
