Using red craft fur, cut into triangle shape small enough to fit into area cut out for the gills. Take a business card and apply Softex to both sides. Insert the business card into the slot and apply the Softex to the top and bottom of the slot.

Using a metal lip, push the craft fur into the slot. Let dry and then start to trim.

Get as close as you can to the inside of the slot.

Repeat the process on the other side.

You can also leave the whole length of craft fur, to give the appearance of a bleeding gill.
