Anybody have use for a 42 Gallon tank with electric pump, hand filler nozzle (like a gas station's), and hose? Will fit in the front of a truck bed (about 48" by 24" h by 1 18 wide) Used with diesel, I doubt it is safe for gasoline but don't know. Free.

It would make a fine addition to my diesel, and very helpful to fill the tractor and generator....and the bullrt heater too. Did I mention I drive a diesel??

Does the local fire chief have to inspect this? And put a sticker on it?

Not if less than 50 gallons in our town. The chief had boat in the same harbor and we checked with him way back.

My town it's a $40 permit from fire dept , must be bolted down, a fire extinguisher mounted and few other things I don't remember off the top of my head
Wish I saw this, just bought a tank & pump.

Town doesn't make a difference. It is a state law that each towns fire chief or his designee inspect these tanks and sticker them. Fire Chiefs cannot chose at thier will to ignore a law. A tank that holds 120 gallons or more is in a whole different ball park. Thats why most tanks on truck are 119 gallons or less.
