View Full Version : One of them has to go
charger 04-18-2003, 08:57 PM Due to time shortages and financial restaints, I have to sell one opf my toys.
Which would you sell?
1969 Dodge Charger R/T or
1988 Grady Walk -Around with a 175 Yamaha
Goose 04-18-2003, 09:07 PM Change your name to Grady and move on with your life:)
Slipknot 04-18-2003, 09:17 PM :( really tough choice. Atleast you were able to have 2 really nice toys for a while, some of us don't even have 1 :(
Sometimes it's hard to sell a boat but a Grady and it's springtime, maybe not so hard.
Think of it this way, which toy will be harder to replace or which one do you get the most enjoyment from?
fishaholic18 04-18-2003, 09:41 PM WOW. A '69 Charger RT. That's a tough one to part with, although I don't know if I could function without my boat. I guess you could sell the boat and put a rod rack on the Charger & take up surf fishing. Does the Charger have a 340? Lets see some pics.
Karl F 04-18-2003, 09:42 PM But...
Do you do most of your fishing from the boat?
Charger's a fine machine, but a horrible beach buggy.
If you love fishing from the boat, sell the car.
From your screenhandle, sounds like your attached to the muscle car, so it's got to be hell for you.... but...
how much for the Charger? ;)
shore manic 04-19-2003, 11:10 PM keep the car!! ya can always find a boat you want.but 69 charger R/T are hard to come by and they only increase in value!!! ANY PICS ?
charger 04-20-2003, 07:48 PM Pic try
JohnR 04-20-2003, 08:26 PM Keep the charger - you can schlep enough boat rides and if you can't find fish after a little while from Westerly on the beach, take up Golf :) ... Shore's right, boats are a dime a dozen. Good deals are ALWAYS out there, certainly if you wait. That's a hard car to come by....
Clammer 04-20-2003, 09:01 PM Keep the Car////////////////////////////////////////////////
fishaholic18 04-20-2003, 09:29 PM Oh yeah!! Most definately keep the car. She's perty.:kewl: :kewl:
MountainBreeze 04-21-2003, 07:43 AM Oh man... This is actually an easy one for me...
KEEP THE CAR!
It is going to be A LOT harder, and more $$$, to replace the car, down the road, than to get another boat. You can always cast from shore for now! (Or hook up with others w/ a boat.)
I just started fishing again last year and did all my casting from shore. I really wanted a boat but, due to the $$$ I need to restore my 69 Camaro, I decided on getting a yak' this year.
A lot less $$$ than a "real boat" but will still get me around to more spots in CT, due to limited shore access.
Good luck with the decision!
Rob
Work some O/T, and keep-em both......:), but who am I to talk I sold my hot rod for a boat and never looked back.....:)
If you decide to sell the Charger, I'd be happy to broker it on Ebay for ya, for a slight fee....LOL
Keep the car. In 5 years the boat will be worth less and the car will be worth more.
