The Fall River Fire Museum had an unveiling of the piece of steel we were awarded from the Port Authority. We drove to N.Y. to pick it up and today it was in the Memorial Day Parade. For an hour or so before the parade it was on display to the public. It was really neat to see the overwhelming response it got, people driving by stopped to see it. Without saying a word they got out of their car, walked over to it, put a hand on it and stood in silence. Very moving.

Thanks to all who gave and to all who served. Some gave the ultimate sacrifice, and on tuesday, September 11, 2001 we lost both men and women from the public service and the public sector, and we thank you for your bravery.

.

There is something within us that is moved by respect for our Heros,
wether it be standing at the 9/11 site, seeing Arlington National Cemetery
or touching the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

John, the museum is currently working out an agreement with the City of Fall River. This should be completed by July-August, then it will be at the museum. It will be located on North Main St in F.R. at a retired fire station. While we wait for the city, it will be housed at Fire Dept HQ in the foyer for public display,or by appointment.
