I've heard a lot of things about tehse guides, except how they actually hold up in salt water. Is thre any way to test this guide frame side by side witha Fuji guide to see just hoe much more corrosion proof the finish is? Maybe grind one of the feet, and see how long it takes to rust?

Which Madeira thread? Don't try and keep a secret. Come of, fess up!!

In case you're wondering, the Superior and the Madiera metallix are very similar. Same stretch, Superior has a bit more strength (not enough to wrap a guide IMO) . I like, but still haven't built a rod with it. Soon though, very soon.

Hi Guys,

We set out to make the best guide on the market today. We think these Holographics are absolutely unbeatable and here is why.

They look outrageous for one. The pictures don't do them justice. You've got to hold one in your hand to really appreciate them.

We've completely retooled our guides. We will be using the highest gauge stainless steel for our frames in the industry. Our three foot, single foot and V-frame styles will all have these new and improved frames. We believe they will be the strongest guide frames on the market.

We grind the ID's of our guide rings to give our customers a round surface reducing friction and heat build up which will give you less line wear and extended casts.

We also grind the guide feet then coat our guides with the highest quality plating and depositions available. Our TiCH frames are depositioned with a super hard titanium carbide making them stand up to corrosive environments. So corrosion is not an issue.

We use Zirconia not titanium oxide for our Titanium
Nitride guide series in silver, gold, blue and now our hottest guide in our history the Holographic guide ring. Titanium
oxide as a base ring is much softer than zirconia. With Zirconia
and titanium nitride you have as hard a surface as SIC for a whole
lot less money.

We also have them in 50mm. Try getting all this in a 50mm guide without refinacing your home.

Check them out on our site http://americantackle.us and call Mike and get him to send you out a set or two to put on our new Patriot series surf blanks in 44 million modulus made for us by All Star.

Thanks for giving us a try.

Warmest regards, Joe Meehan, American Tackle
