Hi Everybody, know it has been several days since I have been on but I wanted to update everybody on whats going on. Bill is still in very critical condition and things can still go the other way. But the past 2 days we have had some baby steps in the right direction and so far nothing going backwards so we will take it.
He is still sedated and on a breathing machine, he is on 24 hour dialysis as his kidneys have failed, his colon is starting to work on its own again but it will be several days before we know if everything inside is OK, as he is in septic shock and full of infection. He has about 40 different medications going in him right now to keep him going but if we get to take a couple away every day based on his blood work every 4 hours that will be a good thing. Its a very slow process and all depends on his body responds.
He has a very very long recovery ahead of him and more surgeries on his colon in the future as when they went back in to open him up his colon was almost dead and being starved of blood to keep his heart going.
one of his lymph node biopsy's from the original surgery, one came back positive and it is a very rapid musciness cancer but it will be months before they can even treat him for that.
Just keep the prayers going if you would as we still need alot of them.
I want to thank EVERYBODY from the bottom of my heart for all of the thoughts and prayers and offers of generousity. I have been overwhelm by it and very humbled by it. I will try and keep you all updated as best I can.
