Hi All, I just wanted to share with you what happened this morning when I got to the hospital to see Bill, I was expecting more of the same doing a little bit better everyday and a long way to go, but your prayers are being heard,
When I rounded the corner of his room I looked up and he was sitting up smiling at me!!!! They had removed the breathing tube early this morning as he is now breathing on his own!!! They were also able to take him off of 24 hr dialysis and put him on it for 1 1/2 hours at a time.
I know we are not completely safe yet, and I hope you will all keep praying with me but it sure was great to see his smile, I LOVE HIS SMILE, he is talking as well even though he is very horse but i will take what I can get.

AGAIN we could not have gotten to this point without all of you!!!

Prayers answered indeed. Something I recently read goes "It is a mystery that our loving Father has somehow limited His omnipotence to partner with His redeemed people so that His actions in the world are inextricably linked with our prayers." (Operation World 7th edition by Jason Mandryk) How often this is found to be true when we are given the grace to see it. Our prayers continue for Bill and you in your time of need, that His will be done and the glory be His.

More good news about Bill, they took out all the tubes out if his nose today, gave him some soft foods and liquids and he is doing great. They even had him sitting in a chair when I got to the hospital, he is having some severe gas pain but other that that he is doing fantastic.

All the doctors keep saying its a miracle and they just can't believe how well he is doing. I would say that God has a lot to do with that!!!
As well as all of you who have been praying for us. All we need now is for him to continue to recover his strength and heal his abdomen. and then get his butt back out on the water.

I can not even put into words how grateful we are to have so many fantastic friends like all of you!!! THANK YOU

Hi Beetle, will do, also wanted to mention that Bill is at Tufts in Boston and now that he is in a regular room if anybody would like to go visit with him you can now get in to see him he is in the main hospital building on North 4.

I just found out Bill is going back under the knife to repair more of his GI system.. This is an awful lot of strain for his already weakened system.
