I talked with Juls for a while this evening as she spent a good part of the day with Bill in the hospital. She was too spent to get on the board herself so she asked me to update all her friends here on SB.
I wish this message was bringing good news but unfortunaltely that's not the case. Bill had another set back today. They removed his breathing tube to try to get him breathing on his own but shortly after they thought he was having another heart attack as his heart rate and blood pressure went south. As Juls put it "we nearly lost him". She was by his side when this happened so I can only imagine how scared she must have been.
They managed to get him stabilized but its is very touch and go right now. His body has taken such a beating over the past few weeks he is in a very weakened condition. He is still fighting infection, pneumonia, and he has dialysis everyday as his kidneys are not functioning. It seems everything they try and do to get him moving forward ends up setting him back.
Juls is extremely sad and exhausted but still wanted me to update all of you on Bill's condition. She is very appreciative of your friendship and all the T and Ps you have sent and keep on sending.
A day does not go by that I don't think of my friend Bill (and Juls of course) and the predicament they are in. I'm sure you will all join me in sending more and more thoughts and prayers.
