Was looking at the flyers for the supermarkets this week. Both Stop and Shop and Daves Market have typical buyone/get one free scams.
Stop and shop has Enterman's stuff. I like their danish pastry . The week they go on sale 2 for one the price shoots up to $6.29 for one!!! Then another classic is at Dave's. They have 2 for 1 on Edy's ice cream. Suddenly , one 48 OZ container of Edy's icecream is $6.59!! :)
Talk about buyer beware. To me this kind of trickery attempts makes them look cheap and untrsustworthy as retail stores. Is it worth it to turn people off with these "deal's" just to sell a few boxes of danish or ice cream??
Caveat emptor!

manufacturers have a discount coupon
typically good for around 30 days
you hang on to that one.......
waiting.... for the store coupon to come out
on the same item
combine the two for savings
it's usually close to when the
sell before this date comes around
Welcome to life. Everything is a scam. You just need to scam them know what thing cost and have some scams up your sleeve too. There is a certain wholesale club that does not take expired coupons but the technology in the self check out isn't hip to that. ;-)

CVS instore and manufacturers coupons plus a printout coupon from the previous visit that prints out of the register allowed wifey to pay only
$.76 for $23.00 worth of stuff at CVS. The kid at the register even chit at that one.
In East Bridgewater they even let you buy the for sale at no profit rubbish bags we have to have here with the register printout coupons. Bought three of the ten bags rolls which go for $25.00 with a 40 % off coupon. Saved big bucks. This has given a reason for living to my wife in retirement.

It's the old spend 10$ to save 2$ trick.. kicker is when you only really need one and its 3$ but you buy the extra "because it's on sale"
