Anyone have a small row boat for local pond fishing?

Does it need to be a car topper? I have a bass tender (I think its a 10') with trolling motor I am looking to part with. Boat is down cape right now. I used to put it on top of wide roof racks but its kind of heavy...Back of pickup would be perfect, of course a small trailer would work too.
