Anyone else read this book?

Amazon.com: Four Fish: The Future of the Last Wild Food (9780143119463): Paul Greenberg: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Four-Fish-Future-Last-Wild/dp/014311946X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1309569000&sr=1-1)

It's really written quite well. A quick (I read it on the flight to Orlando and back) look at the fish that people have chosen to eat and farm...I think anyone here would enjoy reading it.

First person to PM me their addy will get my copy, on the assumption you pass it to someone else when you're done...

I read it a few months ago. Quick, easy read.

I suggest reading "Rogue Agency" in the June 30th edition of the Boston Globe. A synosis describingthe Obama administrations efforts to convert the fisheries into a commodities market. I'm sure Spence will see the silver lining somehow.

I'm not sure I get your point.

While the author advocates the benefits of catch shares from a scientific perspective he doesn't get into the politics or management of it. The Globe article appears to be about the management side of things...

I finally got around to finishing this book. Thought it was pretty interesting. If anyone else wants to give it a read, pm me and I'll send it out to the person with the first response just as Spence did.

but while watching the wild justice show last night
talking about barbless hooks on jigs

i couldn't help but wonder why

when the animal enforcement team was saying that
there was no Salmon now for three years
in pacific waters

why a fish that is able to be stocked
isn't being stocked to a greater degree
out west...? not in the budget ?
