I decided to rent a place on the beach in Sandwich in Sept instead of driving to the canal every night from my folks house in Walpole and am looking for some good spots to take my wife.

We just got a Dunkies here in St Louis, so I can't impress her with that  What are your favorite Upper Cape joints? All price ranges, but probably going to be gorging ourselves on seafood mainly, a good breakfast place and a couple watering holes.

Thanks.

One of my favorites.

Welcome to Amari Ristorante! (http://www.amarirestaurant.com/) Steak Gradimento!!!

Just North on 6A from there is the Bee Hive. Haven't been there in years but I hear it's decent.

On the canal near the Sandwich Boat Basin is the Aqua Grill - Eclectic sea food. Aqua Grille - Sandwich MA Restaurant Cape Cod Canal Waterfront (http://www.aquagrille.com/)

For Decent pub fare and a great watering hole = The British Beer Company Restaurant and Pub (http://www.britishbeer.com/local/sandwich/)

Just up the road from the BBC (back towards the bridge) check out Twin Acres for great home made ice cream. Twin Acres Ice Cream Shoppe | Ice Cream Sandwich, MA | Ice Cream Cape Cod, MA | Dessert Sandwich, MA | Sundaes Sandwich, MA | Lunch Sandwich, MA (http://www.twinacresicecreamshoppe.com/)

For Breakfast check out the Marshland - fantastic. http://www.marshlandrestaurant.com/

Or just over the bridge off exit 2 in Plymouth, the Blue Berry Muffin - my home spot http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3715363337/blueberry-muffin-plymouth

Enjoy.

The only meal I ever seem to buy is breakfast. You have to go to Leo's. It is on Rt 6 just West of the Bourne rotary, just past RedTop B&T. Definitely worth the trip back across the bridge.

For dinner, go to Mahoney's or Land Ho. Mahoney's is finer dining and Land Ho is a more bar atmospher but still one of my favorites. These places are in Orleans.
If in Welfleet at breakfast time, you have to go to PB Boulangerie Bistro. It would be worth the ride.

There is a moderately upscale Italian place in Sandwich called Tomatoes that I think is good. In the Heritage plaza off 130.

I second Marshland and Marshland Too (also in Sandwich). Good breakfast, lunches and even dinners at good prices. Definitely not fancy, though.
For something more upscale but still casual, Amari's is very good.

The Yardarm in Orleans is one of the best hidden secrets out that way. A quahog and a sam adams is my pick of the night finished with fried scallops. Always a trip to Nauset Ice Cream in N Eastham tops off the evening. Oh how I miss my other home!!!!!! :-(:bshake:

Good memories of my Dad and I heading to the boat in BB and always stopping at Leo's for breakfast. It was tradition.

Not a fan of Marshland 1 for breakfast, the food is ok but the seating SUX'S.
No shades on the windows the sun comes in your face, if the place is full your screwed, the small two person booth by the side door is also across from the rest room, doesn't make for an enjoyable meal.

They must be doing something right cause on weekends the line is out the door.....Even at Marshland 2 there is a wait on weekends...

I like both for food, price and atmosphere...

Check out piper beaus in wareham a block from m&ds tackle. Awesome little spot. 80% seafood and a great watering hole.prices arent too steep either. Cool spot to have dinner, drinks and a live band. It's a very small place but the food is fresh and the chef does a great job.

Not if you have to drive past Marshland to get to Leo's, which you do. ;)

Canterbury's in Forrestdale is pretty good, too, for breakfast.
