Anybody having luck fishing on the National Seashore? Today is my birthday, so my wife tells me I can do what I want...so I'm going fishing. Renegade6 07-21-2011, 12:37 PM dont know if you noticed, but there is a TINY bit of a breeze today......:wall: happy birthday anyway Haus 07-21-2011, 01:02 PM Thx! Yes I did notice, I was just at the beach on the bay side. I don't fish around here, what does the wind have to do with it around here?? Does the wind shut it down here? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device saltfly 07-21-2011, 02:45 PM Had a great morning on the Oceanside Seashore beach starting at 5a.m. Lots of fish from 14-30" on flies till about 8a.m. Lots of small herring balls moving along the beach and sitting in the holes as the tide dropped out 2" and smaller were their size.Hickory shad were mixed in and alot of fun with the flyrod.Seals were around but they were munching on skates for breakfast so they were not an issue. It should be the same tomorrow:uhuh: blondterror 07-21-2011, 02:47 PM Stop in at Goose Hummock (high end tackle store) just off the Orleans Route 6 rotary... they have current intel on what's happening... It's waaayyy beyond ridiculous. Just have to fight through the seals now. Haus 07-21-2011, 04:11 PM stay away from coast guard beach and the inlet no matter have good it looks there. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Scout during the daytime around the tide that you'll fish at night and you might be able to find areas that won't be too bad with mung. I remember a fed times last year that we fished one area on the back side that was carpeted with mung and then drove a half mile down the beach and it was pretty clean. I remember a fed times last year that we fished one area on the back side that was carpeted with mung and then drove a half mile down the beach and it was pretty clean.Exactly......been fishing north of there and the water is crystal clear. There's appx 18 miles of beach that can be accessed and there ARE fish there. This a.m. wasn't as good as yesterday but the fish are there.i'm actually taking the easy way and not fishing in the dark[yet].We're going down the backside of the moon so the currents aren't as strong as the tide moves so it's slower.KEEP MOVING!:uhuh::wall: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
