I have seen many a dumb cat being the recipient of the good nature of a family dog.
My sister had a Siamese that was maybe 5 pounds tops. It used to jump on a kitchen chair and look out between the slats on the chair back. The cat , looking through the slats actually thought it was inside the protection of its cage. It would hiss and claw at our black lab. it would take swings at its face and sometimes get a little flesh to pull. Now that lab was somewhat of a freak in that it was a 92 pound female who's ribs you could see its whole life. Not an ounce of fat in the 92 pound frame. One bite and i could have literally swallowed the cat whole. To say it was smart would be a big understatement (like most black labs I ever met).
Well it would just sit there letting this mean little cat take shots at it. Periodically it would stick its head around the side of the chairback like it had gotten into the cats cage and scare the crap out of the cat . It would let out a muffled kind of woof (dog laugh) and actually smile in delite at having startled the cat so easily.
Anyway this clip reminded me of that.
