Missed you all last week. I was off to get the house painted and occupy the kiddies time during spring break. Though I had my stuff everywhere we went, I never got a chance to wet a line. Didn't seem like a much activity up Sandy Hook (NJ) way, but I will be back! Anyway, one day we went to the aquarium in Camden. The kids wanted to see the shark tank. Everyone wanted to see the shark tank. Sharks and many other species of fish. My 7 year old walked up to the glass, now mind you I'm born of a Cape mom and NJ dad, so I literally have no accent whatsoever. Anyway, she turns to me (I had no idea she was such a good listener, nor that she knew the accent so perfectly) and said in a distinct voice, "Daddy, look at those big linesidaahhhs! Wouldn't you like to catch one of those big stripaahhs. Awesome, I love catchin' stripaahhs."
People's heads turned. I just stood there, the proud dad thinking, "Yup, that's my girl."
