Of your lawn is 99.9% crab grass you don't need read any further!:rotf2:

If your lawn is being visited by flocks of starlings, grackles or cow birds AND/OR has lots of 1/4-1/2" holes AND/or has brown patches get right on down to your nearest lawn supply and get grub killer. I used the Spectracide version with "restorer" aka fertilizer about a week ago after noticing all of the above to varying extents..

The summer season has been relatively mild and wet so lawns should be green and vibrant now.

Note: I also applied in the Spring but my routine is 2X per year as I would rather pay Lowes for grub killer than re-seed my lawn.:wall:

My lawn is all crabgrass too. I'm the only guy in the neighborhood with a fluorescent lime green lawn. I kinda like it. You need sunglasses to look at it

Have you looked into Milky spore? I don't do much to my lawn anymore but it seemed to work for the grubs, it has been 10 years so I will have to do it again...next year maybe.

crab grass is awesome, it stays nice and low and short, equals less cutting :)

Now that you mention it Jay, I do like the color :)

phil you forgot about the yellow shafted flickers
that go after the same type of critter
in trees... namely the white worms

if you see them you def. have grubs
