I tried to send a private message to a distinguished member and the dang cornputer asked me for my user name and password. I was already logged in. I entered them several times and it kept telling me that I had entered them wrong. I logged out and then back in, but it still wouldn't let me send a PM. Is this how the program acts if a member has elected to not receive PMs? Or is it a problem.



I found the member on another site and was able to send a PM, so there is no problem that requires immediate response.

Stewie - shouldn't be a problem with permissions, if said member has turned off PMs it won't give you the problems you had. Something else is a miss.

My first thought is to completely clear the cookies and try again. Second, could be a browser issue, like an older version of Internet Explorer.

I kinda remember this being a problem going to an old version of the site...

striped-bass.com instead of Striped-Bass Fishing | Striper Fishing (http://www.striped-bass.com) took you to a different version of the website.

I clicked on the blue stuff, came up with the seldom seen front page, went into the forums and it still won't let me PM the member. But I could PM JohnR from both/either/it(?)

Are you using and old shortcut on your desktop to acces it?
