Really out on a limb there! johnny ducketts 08-25-2011, 09:02 AM *............might... that's it, when I get home from work, I'm going to buy every sheet of 4X8 plywood I can find. I'll pillage all stores, worse than the london riots, buy 6 generators and a gas pump, and then save my reciepts so I can return them when Dylan or Pete tell me ... just kidding. Where's the crazy apocolypse guy?.. is he the new meterologist? wow..let's just see what happens. UserRemoved 08-25-2011, 09:34 AM THE RAPTURE IS HERE Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device johnny ducketts 08-25-2011, 09:40 AM Salty, can we get more t-shirts for surviving earl? FishermanTim 08-25-2011, 12:04 PM It will DEFINITELY be the biggest blowhard since Devall and Obama came to town! :biglaugh::rotf2: timmah 08-25-2011, 12:18 PM After the last big thunder storm they were reporting outside of their studios. "We just experienced a large thunder storm, as you can see the streets are still wet here in Providence. Radar shows, residents should be prepared for more possible storms with rain and wind." :rotf2: Clammer 08-25-2011, 03:18 PM WTF .we havn,t had one in over 20 years . #$%^&*()_ yahoo,s :smash: Mike P 08-25-2011, 03:32 PM WTF .we havn,t had one in over 20 years . #$%^&*()_ yahoo,s :smash: That's why they're really sticking their neck out on this one. :rotflmao: Nebe 08-25-2011, 03:33 PM WTF .we havn,t had one in over 20 years . #$%^&*()_ yahoo,s :smash: NO #^&#^&#^&#^& SHERLOCK!!!! :rotf2::rotf2::rotf2::rotf2: FishermanTim 08-25-2011, 04:08 PM It's all about the ratings! Hey, maybe if someone's boat is on video washing down the street, or someone's beachfront home collapses....onto a burning orphanage during an earthquake sunami, then maybe they'll get that anchor position? There's the "regular" meteorologist that just wants to state the facts and give people the news they need, and then there's the glory whores that will "volunteer" to go out in the storm to get a "first hand" experience. Only they're right outside their studio and not out in the thick of it. They are also the ones that want to glorify every last boring detail so that they won't be forgotten at raise time. I wonder what a stations ratings would be if they were to televise someone dying during their broadcast? Oh well, let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best! Raven 08-25-2011, 04:26 PM Man! this media is whipping the TIGER into butter Zeno 08-25-2011, 08:30 PM they are getting carried away with promoting THEMSELVES but this thing is going straight for NYC....they going to suspend subway ? How in the world are you going to evacuate 300 000 in few hours on Sat morning this I got to see..it will be crazy house...hopefully most of the damage will be limited Mike P 08-25-2011, 09:21 PM they are getting carried away with promoting THEMSELVES but this thing is going straight for NYC....they going to suspend subway ? It's a given. These worst-case models have been out for years, and this is the storm that they warned NY about for a long time. They're probably talking about suspending service on Sunday, and getting people out on Saturday. Service was suspended on 9/11, too, and thousands of people got off Manhattan by ferry, and by walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. Zeno 08-26-2011, 04:03 AM they said yesterday that train swill stop running 1 pm on saturday tattoobob 08-26-2011, 03:33 PM [Family Guy] Ollie Williams - Its gon rain! - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7UBlZcZSE0) I think it's going to rain Mr. Sandman 08-26-2011, 03:47 PM I am already board of this storm and it has not even arrived. I don't know if I can take anymore storm coverage. These weather forcasters look like they are going to creamintheirpants they are so jacked up about this. Way too much coverage. Evacute parts of NY?/NJ? The Gov telling you to go to your relatives home who live on higher ground. (Like they want you there!!!)Now that is funny. My bet the wind does not hit 60 by the time it gets to NY. It is already <100mph and it is 250mil from landfall in SC IMO they are overblowing the actual numbers to give the broadcast more impact! fishaholic18 08-26-2011, 04:03 PM This storm is no joke...If you take a direct hit up there..which it looks like it may...You will be in serious sh!t...It went by us here waay offshore and still dumped a ton of rain on us..Fl can handle rain like that...RI can't....Be safe spence 08-26-2011, 04:07 PM Fl can handle rain like that...RI can't....Be safe Florida is a giant sand pit...the rain flows right through :) -spence fishaholic18 08-26-2011, 04:08 PM Florida is a giant sand pit...the rain flows right through :) -spence Yeah it does...we get 12" and an hour later you wouldn't know it rained.....:) Nebe 08-27-2011, 08:04 AM HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
