Don't use them.

Thursday night, decided to move the boat closer to home (further away from my dad and his coming up with new projects :hihi:) and hooked it up and off we go.

Well not even a mile down the road, left front (dual axle trailer), which all have been on the trailer, but blocked up, barely touching the ground, never having left the yard started developing a bubble on the INSIDE sidewall.

Stop, check it, yep, bubble, decide to drive a bit more, then find somewhere to turn around and head home, well, it popped in another 100 yards. Found a place to turn around so double checked the tire. Holding air FOR NOW.

Bust out the cell and call Town Fair.
It was 5:30 and the guy said they were open till 6pm.

Well, he tells me trailer tires aren't covered by road hazard, I tell him this isn't road hazard, its on the inside of the tire, they're brand new, we hit nothing, its a tire defect. Sales douche whines a bit more, I say we'll be there in a bit.

Somehow we make it to Town Fair. Swing it around back.

Tell both the sales douche and one of the tech guys to check it out. Neither say ANYTHING.

Well we jacked the trailer up, got it off, they swapped it in a flash, and the tech guy says "there ya go, you guys are all set."
Really?
Yep really.

Hey, they saw the light!

Get on the road, down to Lakeville, my cell rings.

Sales douche!
"YOU DROVE OFF WITHOUT EFFING PAYING BLAHBLAHBLAH IM GONNA CALL THE COPS BLAHBLAH"

Give the phone to the grand negotiator (my father) who has it out with the guy then explains to him we have more important things to be dealing with right now like making sure boats are secure for the hurricane and he'll be in tomorrow.

Well he shows up Friday and sales douche is there and IMMEDIATELY gets in his face. He tells sales douche he has absolutely no need for him and goes straight for the manager.

Thankfully they hadn't thrown the tire away yet, manager looks at is, my father explains to him what happened, manager says he'll call the tire mfg on monday.

Sales douche PISSED.

Storm comes and goes, MANAGER calls, company paid for the tire.

So eff them and their BS.

The reality of this situation was, they were looking to make a quick buck THEN send it back to the distributor AND get their money back.
2 for 1 deal! BS!

I'd like to say I like to support local (even semi local) businesses, but this kind of BS, and especially while getting ready for a storm is crap.

And the sales douche? All he could parrot was "road hazard" and not even come up with a valid backing to that statement. Learn your product and learn your policies before you run your dumb f**k mouth.

The manager was actually a reasonable guy, I dealt with him before when I initially got the tires. But as long as he has retards like the above under him, I just can't be bothered to shop at his store.

They all say the same thing about trailer tires: no warranty! When I replaced mine (GoodYears) earlier this year, several places said NO prorated coverage. I got an e-mail from GoodYear central several days later stating ALL their tires have 6 year coverage. So like you said EFF them!

Month ago?
Never touched the ground until the other day.

The fact of the matter was, it was a tire defect, not a "road hazard", and tire shops get their money back on defect tires they send back.

Done already, made sure to let them know the MANAGER was actually a reasonable guy and was willing to work with us, but the sales douche (they got his full name) only wanted to pad his sales.

I'll keep that shop in mind since I'm in South Dartmouth, this one was well north of us.
