On a fishing note, be safe out there on any ocean facing beaches on the northshore. I was mildly surprised by the heave on running from salem to marblehead in the semi dark. I could not fish anything in the rocks on the south side of the head from a boat, so the surf guys would get pounded if they tried to wade or jump on a rock. lots of big macs and giant herring around. nightfighter 09-20-2011, 11:23 AM SUCKS....Three yesterday, one today....after close to a pack a day... Already hacking up crap so body is trying to react and clean itself. Cove just north of the chocolate drops was holding fish at high tide, but I couldn't get out to the rocks. Had to cast from below seawall and drag over the rocks... Had two good topwater hits before I had to be at a Bday dinner.Would have been screwed if I had hooked up a good fish. Surge was nasty. Nothing else with moving water was fishable.
