View Full Version : Airbrush question
piemma 10-21-2011, 09:12 AM My family gave me money (didn't know what to buy me as I have so much fishing "junk" as they call it) for my B-Day. What airbruch do you guys favor? I have been looking at the Aztex dual action brush. It is quite confusing as there are a million brands, models, single action, dual action, etc.
Slipknot 10-21-2011, 09:54 AM Iwata topfeed is a nice gun for detail and high quality but $$
the Peak line Bearair carries is good general purpose, I have 2 or 3 of those topfeed models, half the money of Iwata but I bet they are china made knockoffs, but decent quality for 50 bucks.
you are right, there's a million choices
Happy Birthday
Rockfish9 10-21-2011, 11:11 AM I second the Iwata.... I run a pair of them..
RIROCKHOUND 10-21-2011, 11:44 AM Just remember I need some thin profile, floating or slow sink needles in Martha Stewart Green.....
piemma 10-21-2011, 12:12 PM Great! Now everyone knows my secret green color.:rotf2:
I think I'm going for the Iwata. I have $200 to spend and I have a good compressor so it's basically the brush and tips and paint I need.
Guys, thanks for the help.

piemma 10-22-2011, 07:34 AM So one last question. Any of you guys ahve an airbrush setup you want to sell. Figure I would ask here first. Seems like some have 2 of everything and I'd rather keep the money in the "family".
Pete F. 10-22-2011, 09:04 AM I'd just say for fishing rattlecans work fine, for pretty an airbrush helps. And after all is said and done, it's a perfectly good hobby.
Have fun
Back Beach 10-22-2011, 04:17 PM Real men use rattle cans.
piemma 10-22-2011, 04:30 PM I have been rattling cans for 10 years+. Just thought it was time to step up

Screw the airbrush and buy something that will bring you long term joy like, say, a new driver...:laugha:
Pete F. 10-22-2011, 09:46 PM I don't know I've heard an airbrush is pretty similar to golf as far as frustration level goes. I don't think you can throw an airbrush as far as a golf club?
piemma 10-23-2011, 02:17 AM Both of you guys are nuts!!!:rotf2:
