So i have been flat on my back since thursday with my back going out. I tried everything i had for pain killers and even missed togfest. I have to go to work tomorrow so i decide to try again for a shot for my back. I went to the local walk in clinic, barely make it in the door, get seen by a middle age doctor who was given a hard time by the guy before me. I explain to him about the upcoming surgery, and he walks out. Come back hands me a script and says this is a wlk in clinic i dont like giving out narcotics. I told him i dont want pills just a shot in the ass to take the edge off. He tells me the story is full of holes and i need to come back with the doctors name cell number and MRI. Im like WTF can i have the doctor fax something, he says you got what you came for now get out..

Whats this world coming to...

My better half is a primary care PA. Yesterday she was saying that out of the 16-20 patients she has per day, at least 3 or 4 of them are drug seeking and lie through their teeth for narcotics. I'd bet a walk-in clinic is even worse.

You're right though, the world is going to s&*^. Scumbags ruin it for honest people that have real issues like you do.

Obviously the Dr. didn't comprehend how important TogFest II was to you and missing it was something only to be done on your death bed!

That being said what the othe post said about druggies going clinic to clinic for oxy's is amazing.

I can tell you a story about a guy who, never mind I don't do that job anymore.

there's a sign in my doctors office that said

"if it's undocumented it didn't happen"

i would take issue with this guy
because he insulted you big-time
he answers to someone else
and you were totally wronged

you need to gather your paper work
and by the way (at the hospital)
the xray storage people are quite happy
to burn you a cd rom of your recent xray's

take those and paper work to that guy's boss
and say i'm hear to prove i have a real
medical condition with him or her

once that's established as "truth"
demand an apology or else (news story)
bad publicity coming up

They all say that they don't want the pills.

It's like the smoking hot, 24 year old blonde who's dating an ugly 55 year old millionaire. If she said that she isn't in it for the money and loves him for who he is... Would you believe her?

These scumbags go from doctor to doctor until they get their script. They go on about how bad the pain is but say "I don't want any pain medication, what else can we do?" It's their way of trying to build credibility that they aren't pieces of crap drug seekers.
