So I'm surfcasting at some well known rocks on the North Shore yesterday... as I was putting on my korkers and rigging up I see a diver leaving the water and no one else around... so I go down to my favorite rock and cast for about 20 minutes and I see what I initially think is a big feeding fish about 75 feet off my perch... so I cast a parrot Cowboy jr to the spot and 2 seconds later as I start my retrieve I realize it is divers bubbles that are headed towards shore... he must of had a fish eye view of my Cowboy.. Glad I did not hook him... it would have been my biggest catch of the season...

Here is a pic of him as he crawled up on the rocky shore...

Not too bright... did he have a bag full of short lobsters as well? I have seen the green police waiting for divers in that spot often. Did you say anything to him? Get into any fish?

The first diver who left the water before i started casting had a bag of something... did not see what was in it.. the second guy on had a piece of bent pipe and his gear... I did not speak with him... he left the rocks quickly....:devil2:

We have a Dbag free diver down here who swims right into the area you are fishing.

He's been seen exceeding the legal bag limit too.

I may just accidentally catch him if he crosses me on a bad day. ;-)

A few years back, on one dark night, a diver swims out of the breachway channel and into where the plugs drift. I know where he was out in the drift because one could see the light on top and below the surface. I mean he was right where the plugs made the swing! Some folks just put themselves out there!

I was fishing near there years ago. A diver walked in front of me and entered the water. He had an inner tube with a flag. I moved 100 feet to my right and continued fishing. Something hit my Kastmaster and I set the hook hard. It didn't feel right and the diver came up to the surface, yanked the hook out of his forearm, and apologized for straying so far from his flag.

Funny you should say that... I have caught plenty of fish in that area from my yak esp around the corner in the cove toward Gloucester harbor... In the past there have been nice blitzs out front but I have not been there in the past 2 yrs with a blitz going on... I am probably just missing them:smash:

Sometime you can view them at night swimming toward the offshore lobster traps.

The Great Whites should cut down on the poaching

No that's true, that place used to be fool-proof in the fall, now it just like everywhere else.. hit or miss.
