Rockfish9 10-28-2011, 07:47 AM it's against me religion.. but I've got to put in a half day of work tomorrow... after that... put away the lawn mower, start the snow blower an then I'm going to go through my ice fishing gear.. I put it away in good shape.. but.....and ...my cooking gear is out of sorts because i share it as my tail gate gear...it is no longer in "order"
sunday morning fire up the lathe.. time to make a little saw dust until the pat's play @ 4...
nightfighter 10-28-2011, 07:58 AM Forecast has slammed the door.... going to haul around noon today, powerwash, empty, and get temporary cover on it for overnight. Hope to hit the surf both days.
BigFish 10-28-2011, 08:07 AM Heading out tonight/tomorrow am I think! Gonna be chilly!! Tomorrow gotta clean garage and basement to get ready to stow kayaks and fishing gear! Gonna make a chowder tomorrow I think....good weather for it! Mom coming for a visit tomorrow afternoon! Sunday more of the same...maybe fish/maybe not? More chores around the homestead!! Watch Pats at 4!
Saltheart 10-28-2011, 08:26 AM Going to a rod building gathering up in Leominster. As most know I moderate the rodbuilding forum on SOL and this is a gathering with those guys. It'll be the first time I meet many of them so I am looking forward to it. While I expect to have my brain picked on guide layouts , I also expect to do some brain picking myself on Decorative wraps with guys familiar with and using the Visual Wrap software. Should be an interesting day.
Of course Patriots Sunday!
tysdad115 10-28-2011, 08:26 AM Tys last football game tomorrow am, 6-0 right now, looking to go undefeated ! Maybe try and get him out fishing Sunday morning for his one last hurrah to try and break his terrible skunk streak.
piemma 10-28-2011, 09:06 AM Tucked the boat into the new boat garage yesterday. Getting the snowblower ready and cleaning Jeanne's garage so she can put here car in before the Noreaster. Pats Sunday. Back on the road again next week so staying close to home to "stock the cookie jar" for my BI trip.

Full Replacement. Very little swelling looks like an excellent job
Do your PT!
I found 5 lb bags of frozen peas are the best ice pack. I use to put 4-5 bags on my knee to try and help keep the swelling down and the help stretch stuff
Went to see CroMags and Supertouch last night. Off to the PO shortly to mail out a ton of plug bags, plugs, and a van staal real shortly. Picking up the my mother in law and grandmother in law at Logan at 1 today. Hopefully will watch some soccer and football at some point too.

They sent me home with a Polar Ice machine. Very nice and effective Ice pack. It's essentially a small cooler you fill with ice and water. It has an internal pump that circulates the ice water to a wrap on the knee. Works great.
zimmy 10-29-2011, 09:00 AM 1. get the farmall ready to plow some snow. 2. Plow snow

I'm medically prohibited from dancing and singing ('cept singing to fish).
Got back a couple hours ago from sleeping an hour or so from an all night scout Halloween party - wasn't supposed to be all night. Even Clammer couldn't sleep.
Then Scouting for food, cranky kid - yep - time for bed.
Big Bo - hope the knee heals - that sucks. The machine you are on stretches for you as well?
BigBo 10-29-2011, 01:10 PM No. Some people get sent home with the CPM machine that essentially moves your leg from full straight out position to varying degrees of bend. In the hospital I was doing 75% the day of surgery, next day 80% and yesterday was at 90%. I had decent range of motion, so they didn't send it home with me. They really want you doing it on your own rather than the machine doing the work. The one thing nice about the CPM machine is that after extended periods of rest (like sleeping) you weren't as stiff starting out the day if you ran it durning the night for several hours.
