Okay, got my 75 yard :rolleyes: free sample in the mail, and went out and bought a 150 yard :rolleyes: spool to give it a whirl. I'm gonna use the 50 lb. stuff as casting topshot on top of 30 lb. Fireline backing for the Ditch.

Is it me, or does this stuff look and feel an awful lot like Whiplash?

Threw some this weekend - no complaints so far.

I believe the only difference is the teflon "infused" in the line.

Gee, I hope it's good......... I have 50lb and 30lb spooled up and ready to go.

I've tried it already---it's a lot thicker than Whiplash of the same # test. 65# SS supposedly has the same diameter as 15# mono---so why doesn't a 300 yard spool fit on a Nautil 7500? In fact, I'd estimate I have barely 200 yards on there, judging by what's left on the spool.

Out casting, I was getting better distance out of my spare spool, which is 30# Fireline, with the same lures and trailers, on the same rod.

I think 65# SS has equivalent diameter to 20-25# mono, not 15.

I have a sneaky hunch that the #30 is rated at like #50 and the #50 is at #65.

So far I have 225 yards of 30# on my 6500TCST, another 75 yards might just fit. :)

The "technica data" sheet that came with my sample was a MARKETING sheet, it didn't tell me squat :af: I want to know diameter, recommended knots etc.

I put the free 30# on my freshwater outfit. It is definatly thicker than they say. I have a tourny this weekend and will give it a good test run.

I have 1100 yds of 65 lb stealth...and I`ve always used mono from Stren, Ande, Yozuri.... its feels like about 12 # test or less for diameter to me...........Bass are here!
