We should do a pool here for when these jackpots get up to crazy amounts, like tonight's 245 million, 136 mil cash option. Would need a way for members to post their numbers for a particular drawing in a place that could be out of the public eye.... Can't catch the wave standing on the beach.....

Love to if someone ran it (I can't - flat out). I'd be for a fin.

Payment would need to be made and numbers would need to be legible copied / photo'd in a big batch and shared before the drawing...

I was thinking a thread for the drawing date, where members post the numbers of the ticket they have designated for the pool. Has to be posted before drawing, which server would record. Just wondering if you want it in a public forum? It would be self policed by participants, and if we won big, three of us would moderate who's in, shares, etc. Small winnings are rolled over until the jackpot is won. If we have small winnings when jackpot is won, they get put towards the site. (If it's less than 200 bucks, it goes to the site) Jackpot has to be 100 million or greater to get going?

You have better odds of catching an 85lber so spend your money, time and effort on that goal!:fishin:

I read somewhere the odds are the same as picking the right quarter out of a stack 340 miles high. Of course I gave my voluntary tax to the cause.:)

We do it at work and get like 50 tickes each wens. I heard last night's ticket was bought in Conn. I don't know if we have the winning ticket. The main reason I participate is I'd kill myself if everyone else at work won and I had to do all their work after they retired.

I used to use that philosophy at work when I ran these for the big jackpots.

I'd tell people I'd rather put in a couple of bucks and lose then not put it in and watch all you other mugs win

The price for powerball is going up to $2 and the powerball number will only go to 35 instead of 39, the starting jackpot will be $40 million and the prize for picking 5 numbers right except for the powerball will go from $200,000 to $1 million, the odds are going to improve from 1:195,000,000 to 1:175,000,000
