I've got a place to stay around Tampa for either Feb or Apr vacation. Anybody know if there is any good shore fishing or what charters would be targeting? I want to make plans early to get cheaper tickets. Thanks in advance.

Check these sites for some info.

While there you may want to find a five gallon bucket, buy an aerator for about 15 bucks takes two D cell batteries, buy some live shrimp and/or pintails. Do not need to run the aerator all the time. The tackle shpos usually sell bucket covers with a lid in the middle.
April would be better.
check out this website for shore(bridge and pier) fishing options.

Check out Pier 60 in Clearwater. Its right near Tampa and is a state run fishing pier. If I remember correctly, there's a b&t right on the pier and there are lights for night fishing. My sister used to live close by and my brother in law's father used to fish there when he visited them. I think he told me he caught snook, spanish macks and jacks there.
