I usually have a decent amount down by Halloween - not this year. Hope you don't have to hand rake your property:biglaugh: Back Beach 11-04-2011, 01:24 PM 21" of rainfall since early august and above average temps have much to do with this. Drought stress/below average rainfall along with successive frosts and low temps will typically cause earlier senescence. Not the case this year. Rockfish9 11-04-2011, 01:54 PM wish I could say the same for my pine trees... evergreen my XXX... ever drop is more like it... funny ..birch mapes and oaks all holding foliage... my mountain ash dropped them early.. rphud 11-04-2011, 03:42 PM I noticed cause they are on the branches in the roads and on my house and hangin on all the downed powerlines around town. Nothing like fully leafed out trees to catch a whole bunch of heavy wet pre-winter snow and then come crashing down. My town is still 80% dark. No power to my place until Sunday at the earliest. My money is on Wednesday or later. basswipe 11-04-2011, 04:38 PM Been this way the past 3yrs at my house.Ended up putting a temp fence between my house and the hag that lives next door, done doing her leaves as I can't tolerate laziness. piemma 11-05-2011, 05:24 AM I live in the middle of 15 acres and you are correct. I'd say 80% of the trees still have leaves. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
