Anyone ever hear of it? It is suppose to be a smooth clear glass like anti fouling coating applied to clean hulls. It is friendly to the environment and improves fuel consupmtion noticably. There have been several full scale and pipe flow tests done. One full scale test was on a (surprise) 23' SC which showed impressive results, I don't have the report yet. I am not sure where to get it...I would like to give it a try. Also I have my doubts on how well this stuff retards growth... Anyone know anything more about it?

No. I am planning on stripping the paint on there now to the glass and applying it next season. I hope to get a full range of powering data later this season (Installing a floscan 9000). Then stripping the paint and applying this stuff.

The resulst on several boats were impressive but again I don't know just how good a anti-fouling paint it is...they claim it is good but you have to use these things to really know IMO.

Here is a quote from a techincal report...(I am in the process of getting the one on full scale open water tests)
"In open water
experiments using the silane to treat boat hulls, it was noted that top speeds of a 23' Seacraft Sport
Fishing Boat was increased 11% from 28 mph (45.1 km/ h) to 31 mph (49.9 km/ h), and accompanied by a
decrease of fuel consumption (Ref. 12)."

There is one made by Dolphinite that has had a problem but supposedly corrected - worth looking into dolphinite.com
