The 2 version has a much clearer window and the 3D actually does 3D TV and from what I have seen it is pretty decent. I am not a 3D TV fan (yet) but it is kinda cool. But you need a 3D Tv. I plan to get the "2" version and mount it on the top of the pilot house looking down/outward into the cockpit. The storage and resolution of these is impressive. Can't beat the price and it's ruggedness. This thing is really waterproof. I want to drop it down on a Cement Block while togging next year! One is completely sealed and the other is open in the back for greater audio. Its the Hero HD 960. Took great video out on the boat taking bass and blues, and I used it underwater in the carribean too. Dont bother with the back LCD screen option, its not worth the $$$ IMO.
