but after doing a few fish I thought I'd do the old barn thing. I gotta take some lessons. It isn't like making plugs. It will keep me busy this winter though. The barn isn't done yet. I have more little stuff to throw into the mix.

They both look awesome. If you are running out of things, I have a picture of my daughter and I with my 8pt from a couple of years ago, I would love to have that as a watercolor and I could add some incentive.
If you are interested pm me. Good job on both of those.

if you can, try working on depth of field.. you should try to emphasize on shading to bring out depth.. the bluefish looks very 2 dimensional. That being said, they look great :)

Another Bob Ross classic Swimmer. No mistakes, only incidental opportunities.

if you have an art museum in your area they probably offer lessons for various media and skill levels....or check for a local artists association/guild or any gallery that has several artists represented, they probably meet a couple of times a week at different locations to paint and usually welcome aspiring people that want to work on their gift...those look great, hope to see more!

Those are really great, especially just starting with watercolor. Watercolor is one of the most difficult mediums to work with and you've done very well. I did a google search on "watercolor techniques" and there are a ton of great tutorials. Could be a good place to start to get an idea of what you are doing "right" or "wrong" with your technique, tools, etc.

I am on a dial-up line still Tim. That should be rectified shortly. So I'll be able to watch all of those tutorials then.

Nice pics. Send RIRockhound a PM. His Mom is a very accomplished painter and her medium is watercolor. She may give you some pointers.

BTW, I envy you. I have trouble staying in the lines with paint by number. You have a real talent.
