March 3rd 2012
about 8:00 am to 3 pm
Wareham Lodge of Elks
2855 Cranberry Highway
Wareham MA
508-295-9818

I gave them a $200 security deposit today so we are all set for that date and place.

The hall is plenty big enough for us to have plenty of room and many tables. Everyone can have there own it looks like. The place looks like it can handle 200 people at once easy. There is a small stage, they can open the kitchen for food 11-2. There is plenty of parking, easy to get to, right off the highway.
Should be another great plugfest.
We can have another plug contest this time and I will put a thread up about that later on. This year you won't have to mail entries, we can make it simple by registering ahead of time and I can assign numbers by PM.
If anyone can do some demonstrations, let me know. we should have another raffle also, so donations are appreciated.

see you all there

It would be great if you could make it MS... about an hour south of Boston or an hour east of Providence, RI. Cheap flights via jet Blue or Southwest Air. Wareham is next to Bourne (MA) and the Cape Cod Canal

Swimmer, Yes they will sell us food, that will be good, kind of like last year.

and if you have a dish you want to bring, by all means bring it along.
we can bring drinks and desserts, coffee , donuts whatever...

Bigfish, correct, the Elks is not the same place as last year. It is almost twice the size.

please make note of that.

when it gets closer we can put another thread up with all the info needed

Bruce we can't thank you enough for the effort you put in on this...

I have two goals this year @ plugfest.. to bring more plugs than Larry .. and to leave with at least as many as i arrived with...( wellone out of two might be attainable)

Saw my dad today and picked up 2 new 9 inch needles, a small Danny and nice metal lipped swimmer (copy of a very succesful After hours 1 have). All have the scaling effect he learned at las years plugfest. I am traveling out of state for work 4 days per week and will be in FL not Boston most weekends Jan through March, but already told Bill (my dad) that I will make sure to be around to bring him to Plugfest. By the way he turned 91 a few aweeks ago. Most of my keepers this year were on his green and gold scaled 9 inch needle.

So I'm thinking of just bringing all those charity plugs from a few years back I've been hoarding and holding a silent auction throughout the DAY.

Dumb idea? Good idea? I know, I just need to get 'em sold.

I could also give free political advice :hihi:

thanks,

If you go at night it will be an empty place, so my thought is it's dumb.

Hey Slipknot. I'm gonna bring some xtra plugs an wire along with a couple of he tools I use to show guys how I twist my wires an do my sanded cups on the face of some of my plugs. The more I hear an see some really complicate twistin wires. Maybe I can shed some light on it. After doin the wires on 8000 plugs well I've kinda got it down to an easy way. Ron

If anyone is interested I can bring my grinder with wolverine sharpening jigs for sharpening lathe chisels. And anyone can bring their dull tools and give sharpening a shot. It's a pretty easy system and very effective.

Not a problem, bring along whatever you need. I even have a jig specifically for skews.
