So glad I found this forum, just recently got into surf fishing & love it! I have mainly been a large mouth bass fisherman, (I'm 3 hours from the closest beaches) but once I experienced the surf I could see why so many do it. I enjoy being in the water, with the fish, the waves & the whole environment that comes with it. It's sort of an "extreme" way to really experience angling that you just can't get any other way. Also, I love these fish that come out of the surf! They're beasts, & even the smaller ones are fun to catch. First thing I did was buy Zeno Hromin's two books, reading up helped me get a good start, especially since I don't know anyone who fishes the surf. I'm excited about finding this new sport, & look forward to learning more from this forum.
