Taking this down today for upgrade. Anyone interested one or both? I might be able to get out in one piece, if not there are 2 ways to dismantle one of which is nonrecoverable.:)
The TV is the old tube type, works perfectly, and likely 15-20yrs old and weighs a ton.
The stand and TV don't have to go together.....

I just got ride of a 36 inch Sony Wega this week.
It was about 10 years ago and had it in a similar oak stand and I had chain from back of tv to studs in wall behind.
236 lbs !
I'll take the TV,it'll come in handy for the turkey fry in January.
