I can remember coming home after playing the Thanksgiving Day Football game as hungry as a horse and eating 3 big plates of food. Now its all I can do to get one big plate full down. yesterday I had a good plate full but didn't even get "a little of everything" on the plate. I had turkey , mashed potatoes , stuffing , butternut squash and corn. Had no stomach room for brocolli , turnips , sweet potatoes , pickle olives etc , had only half a Portogee bun despite them being fresh baked just a few hours before , no salad , and I had to wait about 2 hours before I could fit a small piece of cake for desert.
They say as you get old your stomach loses elasticity and just will not stretch the way it did when you were younger. Once your stomach loses its ability to stretch , if you eat too much you get the "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" syndrome. :)
